IDaoud we see Charlotte stepping in her with seven-league strides, decisive and proud, wearing a self-created, lace-like see-through dress fluttering behind her, her face, chador-like, wrapped in a silvery cloth, wearing a silver mask as a cap at the back of her neck, adding to the mystery. In this video DAOUD presents A Dust Odyssey: the debut album that includes 10 chapters, 10 wastelands, 10 stories, and a video inspired by the Homeric epic poem, of ancient Greece, relating the ten-year wanderings of Odysseus, king of Ithaca, after the Trojan War. With a hunger for new experience, DAOUD walks for 10 years, through the wastelands of the west, with an air of universal longing. This is a human adrift in a universe that she doesn’t, that she never will, understand. She discovers the bittersweet ephemerality of everything, and the idea that to “know time” is to know ourselves at the mercy of time. (léon lemahieu)
